Who are we looking for?

There’s no such thing as a Baker Tilly ‘type’. In fact, every one of our 2,200 employees is different and it’s this diversity which makes us who we are. Having said that, there are a few things we look for in all of our applicants:

  • You’ll need an impressive academic record at A-level/Scottish Higher and a 2.1 degree or above (or equivalent), or if you’re from a Scottish University, we’d like an ordinary degree or above; but
  • more importantly, what we’re really hoping to see is something special: originality, passion and great team working skills.

We select people on much more than the academics. We look for energy, excitement and something you just can’t quite put your finger on - talent.

When it comes to graduates, we set our sights high, but that usually means we get people who have equally stretching goals, so it’s a win-win situation. Of course, we make sure we give you ample rewards in return.

If you are unable to meet our academic requirements due to extenuating circumstances, we’d still be pleased to hear from you, provided you can support this with documentary evidence such as an official letter from a head teacher, university tutor or doctor.
